Senior Research and Development Engineer

Global Lighting Technologies, a rapidly growing LCD backlight Company with worldwide operations, seeks a Senior Research and Development Engineer. Responsibilities include optical ray tracing of the following: new backlighting applications, ongoing and forward thinking R&D projects, system component comparisons and new technologies.

Requirements include a degree in Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience, ability to manage multiple projects, strong problem solving and communication skills, and experience with SolidWorks is a plus. Some other tasks will include optical testing in labs/dark rooms, evaluation of new materials/components, researching and developing new products to bring to market. Managing specific R&D projects through to completion is also a must.

Global Lighting Technologies is a worldwide developer/manufacturer of backlighting technologies used in LCDs, with 3 manufacturing plants in the Far East and an R&D/Engineering/Sales facility in Brecksville, OH.
