The performance improvements that have MicroLens™ molded light guides have brought to small and mid-size format displays can also be realized larger format displays up to 15 inches diagonal that use Cold Cathode Fluorescent (CCFL) displays, such as laptop and desktop computer monitors and touch screen displays such as ATMs. This results in a highly efficient CCFL backlight with a reduced number of secondary light management films and higher brightness. MicroLens™ CCFL light guides feature pixel based light extraction features that are created with the same high precision that is a trademark of LED-based illumination solutions.
