FRONTLIGHT PRODUCTS

Frontlighting is used for the lighting of reflective displays that traditionally have had to rely on natural or room light to view an image. The frontlight is positioned on top of the LCD between the display and the viewer, and provides illumination for the display while generating very low glare and minimal image distortion. Applications for frontlights are any device making use of reflective LCD technology, including reflective color and cholesteric LCDs. Frontlighting technology can be used in such portable devices as cellular phones, PDAs and others.
